What Rods Are Used for a Spiral Perm Wrap?

The answer is bender rods. Milady's own figure caption on spiral wrapping reads: "Spiral wrapping with soft bender rods."

This correction is a little different from a simple wrong-answer-key fix. In FadeJunkie's original question bank, "bender rods" wasn't even offered as a choice for this question — the four options were circle, loop, straight, and concave rods, and "straight rods" was marked correct. A July 2026 textbook audit found the real answer wasn't among the original choices at all, so the wrong choice ("straight rods") was replaced with the correct one ("bender rods") rather than just flipping which existing option was marked right.

If you've seen this question elsewhere with "straight rods" as the answer, or without "bender rods" as an option, that source has the same underlying issue.
