The answer is extremely curly hair. It has the lowest elasticity of any texture, so it breaks and knots more than straighter hair does.
Low elasticity means the strand can't stretch and spring back without stress, which is exactly why extremely curly hair snaps under tension and tangles at the ends. Straighter textures hold up better under the same stretching and detangling because their elasticity is higher.
